Meet the Staff

Our Staff

Our exceptionally friendly staff at Bayview Dental is our greatest asset. Each member of our team has high standards of quality and integrity and are dedicated to meeting the needs of our patients. Many of our staff members have been with Bayview Dental Associates for over ten years and all members of our staff are active in continuing professional education opportunities.Clinical Staff

Clinical Staff

Our clinical staff includes dental hygienists, dental assistants and laboratory assistants.

The hygiene staff is composed of Registered Dental Hygienists who's primary function is to aid in the prevention of dental disease. A large part of the hygienists' practice is involved with educating our patients about the causes of dental diseases and providing treatment to improve the overall health of oral tissues. They are highly skilled at removing dental plaque and calculus and assessing what patients need to do in order to improve their oral health and prevent disease. Our hygienists will administer fluoride, take radiographs, provide prophylactic procedures and can provide specialized services such as scaling and root planing procedures for those patients who are experiencing more significant dental problems. We have a dedicated and professional group of dental hygienists, all of whom are active in dental continuing education and most with several years of experience.

Other professional staff members who play a large role on the dental team are our dental assistants. As the name indicates they assist the dentist, the hygienists and the front reception team whenever it is necessary. Most of the time you will find the dental assistant with the doctors. The primary function of the dental assistant is to work with the dentist and patient directly during patient care. They are very knowledgeable with regards to dental procedures and can answer many of the questions that patients may have.

Our office also has on staff a laboratory/sterilization assistant. The laboratory assistant is an important addition to the team as she maintains our in-house dental lab for fixed and removable prosthetic work. The “lab tech” is responsible for cleaning and sterilizing dental equipment, helping the dentist and dental assistants with lab procedures and aiding the dental hygienists when necessary. Our laboratory assistant has a vital role in expediting dental repairs, facilitating most prosthetic works (crowns, bridges and dentures) and most importantly maintaining and monitoring a thorough sterilization program.
